ectopic? ovary cramps? HELP update....

posted 8th Oct
Ok I am 4 weeks 5 days. Found out at 3 weeks 1 day. I know which ovary this egg came from. My right one. I felt it. Now I am having cramps and slight pain on that side. I have read that the ovary that released the egg that is fertilized etc produces the progesterone to sustain the baby until the placenta can do so. So it seems likely that the pain could be from my ovary. Is it? or am I reaching? Obviously no one but a U/S tech can tell me if this is ectopic. This is not my question. I want to know your experiences. Did you have pain on one side? what was it like? Was the pregnancy ectopic? Was it a cyst? ETC and GO!

not personally, but my friend had an ectopic pregnancy earlier this year. She was having cramping, and a small amount of bleeding. They found it on ultrasound when she was...around 7 or 8 weeks, I think.

I've never experienced an ectopic pregnancy but I'm pretty sure those are accompanied by SEVERE pain so if it's just a little cramping on the side you ovulated from, I'm sure that's nothing to worry about.

Alright so I looked it up and found this:

"Some light cramping may also be from the small cyst that can develop on the ovary at ovulation called the corpus luteum cyst. A small cyst forms in the spot on the ovary where the egg pops out before making its journey to the uterus. This cyst then produces progesterone until the placenta has formed enough to begin producing its own progesterone. This small cyst can cause some discomfort for women in early pregnancy."

I thought I was having an ectopic pregnancy when I was pregnant with my daughter. It turned out that I had a massive corpus luteum cyst.

All kinds of aches and pains are normal during pregnancy...unless it's pretty severe and/or accompanied by bleeding, I wouldn't worry too much about it!

Before I found out I was pregnant I was experincing cramping on both sides. Not unbearble though but I did have some brownish discharge. I am 27 wks today and I have had cramping through out my whole pregnancy and everything is fine. However My cusion did have a ectopic and had pain in her left shoulder and really really bad cramping. She also gained like 20 lbs in a short amount of time. Hope this helps.

Prolly just a cyst it happens with pregnancy. I had them with this pregnancy there just uncomfortable they dont hurt anything and usually go away after pregnancy. Cyst is a small thing that usually grow on your ovary when your pregnant and some get them when not pregnant every situation is diffrent. If your worried call your ob.

Not sure how Montanas Medicaid is but here in FL if you go to the Dr and don't have Medicaid they will either sign you up if they offer that in there office or if you go to the ER/Dr as long as you're pregnant Medicaid goes back 60 days and pays for it. Good Luck

Yeah I know all that... well they don't sign us up there in the office but I know about the coverage of stuff before you get covered. I'm more waiting to see IF I got covered. I might not. And if not, I can't go to a certain place that I would want to go to if my health stuff was covered... ya know what I mean?
