Allergies in Children

posted 7th Oct
Alright so this time last year my son had a bunch of behavioral issues and was pooping his pants. This year he's doing it again, I'm sitting here trying to figure out what it's all about and it hits me! I wonder if there is a seasonal food he's allergic too!!! This is how I found out I was allergic to mango. Same symptoms same time of year! Does anybody else have a child with any kind of allergy that causes behavior issues or pooping of pants?

My son has allergies but nothing like the symptoms you describe. Does he go to school?

Unless it is diarrhea or loose stools, it is most likely not from food allergies. It is more of a behavioral thing. Look at changes in his life at this time of year, or recently, this could be his way of reacting to any kind of change.
Food allergies generally manifest themselves by skin disorders, allergic reactions, hives, diarrhea.

My daughter started school this year and has picked up so many weird habits it is hard to keep track. She is almost 4 but she recently started pooping in her pants only when she is at home, so I am guessing it has something to do with control. She has never once had an accident at school.

He doesn't do transition well and this is what we thought it was last year and at first this year. But it's a month after school started this time. So it's a weird time to start reacting to the change of class. But still possible I guess. We also just moved but this started right before the move.

Neither has he AT school but the minute he gets in the car sometimes he'll do it. Then he'll do it like 3 times afterwards. It's crazy!
