I think it's hilarious. They shouldn't "suffer?" Soda is crap. Candy isn't good for ANYONE. How is it suffering to want EVERYONE to eat better? I cook great meals. I have wonderful healthy snacks on hand. If my husband really really wants some candy, he can go get himself a piece. No one in this house needs to keep stashes of junk food, because it's horrible for us no matter who is actively trying to eat better.

Yeah. Not to mention that if my husband was trying to stop drinking or something I would bring in a ton of beer and put them in the cabinets. Yes, self control does need to be a part of it, but generally that happens after you've been doing it a while. After I was eating healthy for a while I was a lot less tempted by the junk food. At first though? It was HARD. So my husband didn't bring it into the house because he didn't really need it either, and he SUPPORTS me and what I'm trying to do.

My SO would do it, I wouldn't even have to ask.
