Cobathing. Do you do it?

posted 7th Oct
What are your thoughts on cobathing. How long would you cobath with your child? How old is too old to take a bath/shower with your LO?

Topic comes up a lot with me and my boyfriend. I am curious to see how other Mamas feel!

DD is 3.5 and we still co-shower. We will until her or I become uncomfortable.. or until this baby comes along, and it becomes easier to just throw them both in the bath together and get it over with.

I just took a shower earlier with my 5, 3, and 4 month old daughters. Now that was challenging! But mainly my older 2 take a bath together and I give my baby one herself but we all needed one tonight fast. But I will still co-bathe sometimes.

We bathe with my two year old. She is terrified of the bath and wont get in without us. If DH is in with her, he wears swim trunks because he doesn't feel comfortable being naked with her.

No because the tubs were designed by midgets for midgets in this house so it would be way too complicated. If we had the space sure.

My daughter is 8 and we just cobathed but that is rare, when we both want to take a bath and just get out quickly. My son 11 months cobathed with my Hubby tonight. We were sweaty from being outside at the part. We all needed a good washing and if we all took separate showers/baths we would waste tons of water.

DS is 16 months old, we sometimes coshower, but cobathing ended several months ago when he decided it was an open snack bar. That made it impossible to give him a bath so I just stopped.

Not really because we have tiny tubs and DD is tall and lanky LOL plus she likes to play in the tub. But if we have to shower real fast than she showers with me.

I get in the bath with Carson almost every night.   I'll probably continue to do it until he tells me he doesn't want to anymore. *cry*

Quoting Mandy and her girls!~:" I just took a shower earlier with my 5, 3, and 4 month old daughters. Now that was challenging! But mainly ... [snip!] ... 2 take a bath together and I give my baby one herself but we all needed one tonight fast. But I will still co-bathe sometimes. "

Holy moly! I don't think that many people would fit in my entire bathroom at once! hahaha

I've only co-bathed with my LO once so far. He's 4 months now, and I want to start doing it more frequently, I'm just nervous to do it when I'm home alone. Maybe once he starts sitting on his own I'll try again. Our bathtub is really deep though, so that scares me while he's still so little.
