re: Cobathing. Do you do it?

I have bathed with her but only when SO is there to take her after she's clean because otherwise I can't get clean, or even wrap up in a towel for that matter...
Also how do people co-shower before they can stand? She gets so slippery after a bath I could only imagine how hard showering with her would be

At least now I don't feel like the only Mommy that missed the "how to co-bathe properly" memo during Mommy class ;)

I coshower with my 8 month old son. Usually on the weekend when my husband can come and get him out so I can wash myself. I don't like cobathing just because he drinks the water right now.

When I did it yesterday I used the baby bath seat but we figured out she's too little for it still, maybe another month or 2. But when I get out I grab her towel and wrap her up then grab my towel and try to dry off till I lay her down. Yes it is a little harder but sometimes it's easier than taking 2 different baths. I just hate leaning over the tub to give baths haha.

Quoting Ms.Eagles:" I'm curious how people co-bathe and co-shower with a baby (under a year) and are able to wash themselves ... [snip!] ... once, and after LO (who was 3 months at the time) was clean I had to call SO in to take him so I could get myself clean."

I stick his tub in there with me. He likes the falling water on his body. After hes washed and played a bit I stick him in his tub to kick and I finish my shower. Hes 4 months

I've bathed with my daughter when she was a baby a few times and maybe twice when she was 2 just for the fun of it, I've had a few showers with her over the past year now that she's 4 but I only do it when we're crunched for time. I don't think there's anything morally wrong about Mother and Daughter showering together, I would feel differently about a Father and Daughter showering together past the baby stage. I think it's a pain and would much rather enojy my shower than have to share it with my daughter and a tub full of Mermaid Barbies!

I was just curious because my SO always asks me when ill stop cobathing/coshowering with my 17mo. He thinks its weird. G doesn't even pay attention to me, he's focused in his toys or my toothbrush lol

SO showers with our 18 mo son all the time because sometimes our schedules are just to hectic for a bath.

Quoting godlovesugly ♥:" What are your thoughts on cobathing. How long would you cobath with your child? How old is too old to ... [snip!] ... to take a bath/shower with your LO? Topic comes up a lot with me and my boyfriend. I am curious to see how other Mamas feel!"

This is something I look forward to doing with my baby!

I have done it but it sucks and isn't comfortable at all. Maybe if we had a bigger tub. With a new born I was always too scared of dropping them and still.. tubs aren't very comfortable to me. I do however let my toddlers in the shower with me if they ask, which isn't too often as I usually shower after they are in bed
