Swim vest or arm floaties for 1 year old?

posted 7th Oct
Anyone have any recommendations for a swim vest or arm floaties for my 18 month old? He has been in a baby raft thus far but has really acted interested in being "in" the water with us. Everything I have found is for 2 year olds with weight restriction of 30 lb plus. My son is only 24 lb. TIA

look for a puddle jumper, I use them on all my girls. I dont know what the weight is but i know my daughter is about the same size (and almost 2) and was wearing it around the house...fit just fine, lol. I have tried TONS of different things and i LOVE these.

ok, it does say for a bit older...i would go with a regular vest but honestly even the really good one i use for my smaller kids they really dont like, but arm floaties alone are worthless.

A vest. I wouldn't use floaties.

We got our son a Puddle Jumper at 14m, he was around 21lbs and it fit him perfectly. His first time in it was an adjustment, but by his 3rd time, he could kick around the pool with no help.

Seems like those are pretty popular, maybe I will try both and see which works better.
