evap

Can someone describe what an evap looks like? Is it supposed to have color is it not supposed to have color? I have a test thats iffy

As far as I know, an evap will not have color. Or it might have a tiny tiny bit of color....Blue dye tests are known to have evaps more often than pink dye tests.

Usually a line with no color but colored evaps can appear after the time limit or on blue dye tests. Most of the time they are thin

More like a ghost line. It's there, but not too colorful.

Iam not really sure how to describe it but i do know evaps can have color though many people will tell you that is not true.

It usually shows around 10 minutes after you take the test. If it's a faint positive, it pops up within (at least from what ive seen) 3 minutes. I would take another test just to be on the safe side. Sometimes evap lines do have color.

In 4 1/2 years total of TTC & taking tons of tests, I've never gotten an elusive evaporation line. In my experience they're like big foot, lol.

Evaps can have color, but are mostly gray/colorless. First Response and Answer brand tests often show the antibody strip, which is bright white. Anything after 10 minutes should be counted as an evap.

That might be why I've never gotten an evaporation line, I've always used pink dye tests.

You're just lucky.  

Does this look like an evap? It was taken on the 30th within the time limit but every test ive taken after it is negative or every faint

I got a pink evap. I ended up not being pregnant but from that test I was surrreee I was pregnant. The test the next morning was negative and all so I figured out it was an evap right away but that sure scared me out of sleep for a night. I believed it when I read "a colored line is a line...which means you are pregnant"...

That looks positive to me. How long after you took it did it show? Maybe you had a chemical pregnancy.

Try a better test.
