Its just driving me crazy i got a pos on one test and then the rest are iffy why cant they all be like the first one

I'm starting to think the other was an evap cause all the others i've taken are like that one

ICs are more prone to evaps (colored and in the time limit) because they're exposed to air, where as other tests are in plastic cases. KWIM? That's what I see most evaps on. If you've gotten negatives since then.. I'd count it as either an evap or faulty test. Sorry.

Know what I mean.

The first test you posted, that has a clear line on it, is not a FRER. It's a cheapie (IC). Cheapies end up with evaps all the time because they don't have any casing - the pee/dye cross the strip and they immediately start drying. Some brands are much worse than others.

I was an answer brand lab test strip it came in the box with the opk's i got ( there weren't touching or anything of course)

Can you see the line between the dots? if you are on a laptop tip the screen and you can really see it. that is my evap. I took the test yesterday when my period was 5 days late. I got my period yesterday afternoon as a matter of fact. (bleh) there was nothing before 10 minutes and the line (you can see it on my end at least...darkened as it dried)

Right. A strip. Not in a case. Exposed to air.

I'd count it as an evap since you've gotten consistent negatives since.

even in a case like my pic as long as there is no plastic over the test window you will also get an evap... so I concur. No case, yes. Case, with no cover over window, yes also!

i see it without tipping the screen i hate these darned line tests. Why do digi's have to have so much hcg to be able to pick it up? Why cant they be more sensitive

...I'm really not sure how you aren't understanding what I'm saying.

A STRIP does not has a plastic casing around it. So from the moment you dip the strip in the pee and it starts to cross the strip, it's starting to dry because it's exposed to air. That's why evaps are SO common with strips (cheapies, ICs, etc etc - they're all the same thing).

It has nothing to do with what it came packaged in, if it touched an OPK, what brand it is.. nothing. It's a strip that is almost 100% exposed to air.
