I didnt know if you knew. Sorry. I always thought it was weird that they do that though.

I like that they require you to "sign up" a few weeks before...but the age/baby number thing is ridiculous.
Not all BC is 100% and if someone is done having kids, they should be able to have that option.
At this moment, I don't even know my option. Just exploring.

I think 18 is old enough lol with no kids-it's a lot cheaper to tie tubes than support another kid on medicaid for 18 years...

and believe me...my husband probably pays more for people on Medicaid seeing as he is never online and you seem to not work since you have so much time to sit and troll BG.

Even if they didn't have medicaid...You'd still be paying out for taxes, the same exact amount. Sorry to break it to you, there are more things in the world besides medicaid.

Medicaid covers for tubes tied? Do they cover in NY? I would love to get it done after my 3rd or 4th baby. If they tie your tubes, it can't be undone?

I'm pretty sure in every state they do,but don't take my word for it. I would call your medicaid provider and ask.
I don't think it can be undone, but once again, don't take my word for it.

I was also thinking about getting my tubes tied but i also heard u had to be 25 with 2 kids.., im only 21 & im pregnant with my 2nd one.. i think its best just to talk to ur OB that what i plan to do at my next visit.. also if u & ur SO decide to have him get snipped then i would research it first cuz it caused a testosterone imbalance when my brother got it done

I had Mirena for some time and I'll tell you its a rather nice option. My periods were very light to non-existent, I didn't have to fuss with pills or patches, didn't effect my sex life or my weight, and when we were ready to give it a shot for our little bun in the oven it was removable.

I know that when I was pregnant with my second child (I am from Indiana too by the way). My doctor had talked to me about getting my tubes tied, he said medicaid patients always have to know the information for getting their tubes tied. But he told me I would not be able to because I was 21 at the time and the age is 23. Now that I am pregnant with our third child (and almost 24 years old) I am planning on getting my tubes tied during my c-section. I dont know if any of that helps any one. But I think it is 23 with two children in Indiana. Just my assumption from my doctors words, I do not know for certain.
