I wouldn't tell them his age unless they ask. My DH is 7 years older than me and none of my family even asked.

My SO is 8 1/2 years older than me & we are very happy. Age is just a number. As long as you are legal & you two are happy it shouldn't matter to anyone else.

I have always dated men older than me (other than DH). The largest age gap is 23 years, and yes, he does have children older than me. He has 3 grand children now.
