One time it really sucks

To have a non-verbal child. We were all outside playing when we came in the house quick to fix a cup of milk and grab a snack before dinner., but not my 3 yr old. My stubborn strong willed child. He's standing at the picnic table whining with a handful of toys in each hand and a few more on the table. We thought he was whining about the rest of the toys being left outside so we kept saying come on buddy, we'll be back out in a minute. Well long enough time to fix a cup of milk and strap LO in the high chair go by before I wander outside to tell him I'll help you, let's go. Upon which he looks at me with sad eyes and lifts both his heels off the ground to be slung shot back. Poor kid was attached to the back of the chair by his belt loop. :-(

Awe poor kid, and poor Mama-I can relate. I personally detets not knowing why my kid is crying when they aren't well-I alway wonder if it is more serious and if I should be taking him to the docs.

We go through that too. Mommy judgement has to be the call. I hate that sometimes.

omg that sucks so sad. i think ill be crying. My son is almost 2 1/2and doesnt take lots of yelling and and sound affects. he does sign please, thank you, more, i want, and for his cup

It makes me want to cry now. I'm just sad for him...

Signing is a good tool to have though. I don't know if you've heard of the website signsavy. It plays demos of signs... Anyway I know how helpful it has been to me.
