Glucose in blood sample?

I've been having some health problems lately (chest tightness, heart palpitations, frequent asthma attacks, weakness etc.) Went to my doctor on Friday & he ordered an ECG, blood tests & a chest x-ray.
I just called my doctor's office, ECG & X-ray results aren't back yet but my blood tests showed there was glucose in my blood. What could this mean?
I have an appointment to see him in 2 hours but my mind is going crazy!

Well there's always glucose in your blood... but maybe what they meant is that your glucose is a little higher than it should be. Did you eat before your bloodwork was done? If so, that could be why. If you hadn't eaten, they might be concerned about something like diabetes.

They'll likely do some more tests and/or take some urine from you as well. GL hun!
