re: Do you think dad can do as good of a job as mom?

Nope, my husband can't. Already admitted that he couldn't. He's a good dad but housework..yeah no.

My hubby is an awesome dad. He is great with our kids and cleans up after himself and makes a mean dinner. I think this dad definitely can ALMOST do just as good of a job

My husband does a good job. He does things different but thats not a big deal. I do give some instruction tho because we do have a SN child and she cant handle certain things changing. So its more of an info run down than instructions.

I leave instructions behind and I still get a text "What's to feed them for lunch?" lol my husband was a stay at home dad for 6 months and in that time he got to see what I do first hand and he was able to do it ok but not quite like me!!!

My kids would not make it a month without a mother figure. Their Dad is clueless.

SO does an AWESOME job with Chris.
But, he doesnt look into things as best as I can and the knowledge of different milestones and what he can and not do.
If I would let him take full control, my one year old would be spanked, still drinking formula bottles as meals, and sipping mountain dew. I feel I have better knowledge on whats best with my son.
When I leave, I give him the basics... what to feed him and give him to drink, when he starts his nap, call me if he needs help with something.

My husband is a SAHD and he does a great job with taking care of the kids and cooking and stuff but needs work in the cleaning department

Quoting Mrs. Purplelady:" Why is it that moms think dads can't handle the household/kids like they can? Do you leave instructions for dad when you leave the house?"
my husband can....he needs no instructions.....lol....
now his dad on the other hand wouldnt even make it, but he is in his 60's and his wife was a stay at home mom and totally did and still does everything for him...hell im suprised she doesnt wipe his ass!

I'm sure some/most can! Not mine though. I can't even take a shower without the kids crying to me because he loses his temper and yells. If I don't leave directions he will just sit on the couch and keep the kids alive with the least possible amount of energy expended.

My SO is great with our daughter! he helps cook, clean , and take care of her ( diapers, feed etc.). I have to remind him of things somethings like when packing a diaper bag..just because hes forgetful lol. Some things come more natural to mothers i think but overall i think we are team and should share responsibility. i hate it when some women talk about how they think the mother is better or should do everything just because shes the mom. If he can handle it why not? hes the dad just my opinion

My husband is a great father. However, he claims that my children only listen to me so he can get a bit frustrated throughout the day quicker than I would.
On the house, he's not a very tidy person and I am a bit OCD on how I like things. Although I hate being the one to clean every day, I would hate for someone else to attempt too, then do it after him lol.
