can ciggarette smoke cause you to miscarry?

but in reality, anything (and nothing) can cause a miscarriage. Smoking (or second hand smoke) is a risk for many things, including miscarriage and birth defects

Anything negative at ALL in life can happen cause of smoking.

I was told that smoking caused placenta issues with my first. I had started bleeding at 6 weeks. When I found out smoking could have caused it I quit immediately and the placenta issue healed itself.

Will it? No one can say it will. But it can. Anything could really cause a miscarriage, there is no "one thing" that someone can say causes a miscarriage.

My husband's son was stillborn. They have no answers as to why he died. Autopsy was inconclusive. One doctor told his ex wife that it was caused by her smoking. Another doctor said no. I dont think anyone really knows. What we do know is that it is very unhealthy, so I would avoid being around cigarette smoke altogether.

So they say but you never know. Unfortunately  I still smoke and always have. All my children came out healthy no problems but if you can kick the terrible habit I would. Take it from a smoker it's not healthy for you or your baby.

You can attempt to convince yourself & others that because you're "ok" that it's ok; but it's a very simple FACT (not opinion) that smoking during pregnancy causes complications. YOU may be one of the lucky ones; but why risk it?
I've known people who have smoked thru pregnancies & had perfectly healthy kids. I've also known people who have smoked & have had very very ill babies/children with all kinds of smoking related complications.

FYI-this is all coming from someone who smoked almost 2 packs a day until she found out she was pregnant with her first. I couldn't quit for me-but I quit for him. It was worth it......
