The last statement is true, but just because the baby appears healthy doesnt mean the baby has no problems.

A birth defect does not mean your child is going to have an arm hanging from his cheek, a leg turned backwards, a nose on the side of his ear. Sometimes they are simply not physical. My parents didnt know I was born with hearing loss til I was 4.

I personally think if you're worried about the risks associated with smoking & miscarriage; you should be just as concerned about the risk of long-term effects on your child. Right?
So if they said nope; doesn't increase your chance of miscarrying - would you still smoke; knowing the other risks associated with smoking during pregnancy?

It CAN/MAY but all depends on your pregnancy, anything, like all the mothers here have said can cause a miscarry, but at the end of the day its one of the those things you just dont know, suggestively if your gp told you to stop then its up to you to give that up, but some mothers still do and continue on having healthy babies and some either miscarry or dont have quite healthy babies from it. It can go either way <3

Oh, and obviously its never too late to stop now if you decide to, I had a few in the beginning of my first pregnancy, but as soon as i had found out i was pregnant I chose to give that up lol Its your decision
