Nail polish and body jewelry?

Being induced tomorrow morning. Will they make me take nail polish off and what about body jewelry/regular jewelry?

I don't remember them making me do anything special when i was induced for my son, But that was 7 years ago :/ So things may have changed, I wouldn't worry about the nail polish, But i'd remove any loose jewellery, Bracelets, Necklaces, Piercings i would leave in.

I didn't have to take my rings, nail polish, earrings or anything off. I think that's only for C-sections.

I was induced and had my nails painted.

Not sure about body jewelry, but I wore my ring.

Not that I know of...i didnt have to..

No and No. I think I can remember taking off my bracelets just in case.. I did balloon pretty bad after I had her lol.

I don't think they would make you remove nail polish, regardless.

Body piercings? Maybe a belly button ring or something. Earrings, rings, etc...I don't think so.

Take off your nail polish. If you're lacking oxygen, they can tell from your nails since they will change color. As for your body jewelry, take it out if you can. In the even of an emergency, (c-section) you will need to have it out and you don't want to have to struggle with it.

Good luck OP. I would say remove the polish and jewelry unless it's in a piercing that'll close.

They had me take off all my jewelry just in case they had to take me back for an emergency c section. I kept my tongue ring in and promised to take it out if I had to because it heals quickly and I didn't want it to close. I gave my earrings (except cartilage ring b/c the ball was stuck), wedding band, and necklace to my mom to hold onto. The hospital also said they ask you to remove things of value in case something happened to them or they got lost, they didn't want to be responsible.
Nail polish, no idea because I wasn't wearing any. But I do know that it's harder for the oxygen monitor to be accurate if you're wearing dark polish or acrylics because they measure your O2 levels through your nail somehow so I'd just take it off your index fingers (that seems to be the only finger they've ever used for me).

A week is a long time when it comes to due dates, I was just honestly curious
