29 lbs (8 lb 3 oz baby), 39 lbs (9 lb 10 oz baby)

My first was almost ten pounds, I gained sixty. My second was almost nine pounds and I gained 27 pounds.

I gained about 100 with my first and she was only 8.5 lol, I'm not too sure if I've gained any so far my midwife has only weighed me once and that was at 20 weeks I hadn't gained any...do you think gaining weight has anything to do with having a big babe?

I think both can be symptoms of the same condition, for example, diabetes. My sister gained 90 lbs with her first who was 10 lbs 6 oz and gained 40 lbs with her third who was 12 lbs, so even with diabetes it didn't even hold true for her

I had an 8 lb 12 oz baby and only gained like 15 lbs the entire time. so i'd probably say no, weight gain doesn't really have anything to do with how big the baby is. haha.

From my experience no. I gained the recommended amount with my second, stayed active and I still ended up with a big baby.

Omg your poor sister lol..did she have a vag birth? if so, ouch.

Yep, she said it was her easiest and fastest delivery with the least amount of tearing!

I gained 40. Rocco was 9 lbs. I don't think gaining a lot of weight means it is a big baby automatically.
