Babies don't need to poop everyday

perhaps he is crying for a different reason? Or just cause he is a newb and all they do is cry?

if you think there is a problem, call the doc in the morning

Is he breast fed? Some breast fed babies have gone up to 10 days without pooping and its fine. I would call his Pedi just in case though.

My son was FF and he would go 3-4 days without pooping, the doctor was never concerned, he said that if it was more than 5 days than it would concern him. Also, it more a concern if he is constipated (poop looks like pebbles), my son's was always normal.

Formula fed babies can go up to 5 days without pooping

As long as he isn't in pain, he is fine.

Newborns cry. It's what they do.

try getting gripe water for the gas it really helps my little one and my older sons doctor when he has the problem of not pooping when he was little he said put a little bit of brown sugar in a little bit of water and that should make him go it worked for my son it takes a few hours to go through their system though but gripe water is honestly the best thing for gassy and colicy babies which my 5 week old is both

Trust me soon you'll have more than enough poop to make up for it. <3
