re: How do you wash dishes?

I have to have everything stacked in order before I even start. I have one side of my sink filled with clean soapy water and the other side I leave running. I have a clean sponge in the clean side and a different one on the other side. I start with plates and I scrub them mostly clean first with just water then I put it in the soapy water...I do this until the soapy side is full and then I scrub them again with the clean sponge and then rinse and put in the dish rack. I do bowls, then silverware, cups, and finally pots and pans and other random things. I hate it when my husband does dishes because he just throws everything in a sink of water and wipes it off but I can't see how clean that would actually be when you are scrubbing them off with nasty, grimy, dirty water.

Our sink is tiny so I wash as I grab off the counter. I don't rinse before I wash but because they are rinsed after they are used. I wash in order too.. Cutlery, cutting boards, plates, pans, bowls, cups, pots, then plastic ware on top. (It's a small drainer so I have to do a couple loads a day. One in the afternoon after lunch and then one at night after dinner)
