How long did you wait to...

share the news that you were expecting?

This is my 4th...I'm actually really nervous about telling my parents. I do live on my own in my own house, but i currently do not have a job.  (temporary rut) and...they don't exactly like my boyfriend. So I'm a little on edge about telling them yet. I am so excited though...

I told my mom and dad that day. I was 18 they were beyond pissed but i wanted to get it out of the way instead of keeping secrets when i really needed them

I told everyone the same say I found out.

If they cant handle it, then that's on them, congrats!  

With my first I was about 9 weeks, after my first sonogram. With the 2nd I told my parents as soon as I told Dh.... I ended up having a miscarriage, so with our next pregnancy I'm definitely waiting until our first sonogram.

I told my mom minutes after peeing on the test with DD we will until after the 1st scan before breaking the news with future babies!

Thats what I did with my first. I was 18 too & I was scared they were going to be pissed..they actually were supportive. My second they seemed pissed...

Sorry to hear about that...I feel worried about that, like I wont be blessed or as lucky this time. I think I am going to wait until the first ultra sound too, I think it would be a special way to share by showing them that.

That's what I usually do too...I call my mom and share the news with her as soon as I know! But this time...I just feel so nervous about it. Because I dont have a job...I dont want her to worry? Judge? Idk.... i really want to tell her soon though!

I have had 2 miscarriages so we kept trying after 4 years i was expecting but too scared to tell my husband bc he was very sad of our missed babies. I waited at least 2 months untill i told him one night. We both cried of joy , right then and their he told me to quit my job bc he did not want it to risk it. I called my mom when i was 4 months she was over joyed. She lives in California and i in Chicago Illinois. So im on my im the 1st daughter to not have my mom to help me on my 1 st baby girl.

Omg you have a strong will power! I wouldnt be able to keep it a secret from my SO...such a selfless thing to do....not tell him in case so he doesnt get hurt. I admire you! Congratulations on your first baby girl   I am excited for you  

i told my mom the day I found out. I waited on telling everyone else until around 9 weeks or so, but only because my first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage and it was so painful to talk about it again and again to tell everyone I was no longer pregnant. I think that the only downside of telling friends and family early is the pain that comes in the off chance that you have a miscarriage. But if you're asking for my opinion, I say tell them. Its nice to share the news and God forbid something were to go wrong, you would have the support of your loved ones because they know how excited you are about your baby. Good luck hun, praying that all is well and you have a beautiful healthy baby in around 9 months

It was hard to keep for me bc well i havw no family here so i kept it

A secret and i didn't want to hurt my husband again.

i lost my son when i was 5 months pregnant, so i was so scared this last pregnancy that no one but me and so knew until i was 5 1/2 months pregnant! i knew i was having a girl before anyone knew. i have no idea how i hid it. it was winter here so i wore such baggy clothes.
