asking someone to watch my baby..

ever since our daughter was born 4 1/2 months ago, i feel really uncomfortable about asking a family member to watch her while we have some alone time. we've only been out twice so far. 1st time was when we went to see a hour long movie and the 2nd time was an hour and a half movie. we were planning on going to the Haunt at Dorney park in late october. the haunt doesnt start until 7-11, but around five we were leaving to go since the rides are included with the haunt prices. i hope im not the only one who feels this way. lol. i understand we need some alone time without the baby every once in a while, but, it just doesnt feel right to me. she;s the most happiest baby, never cries, always smiling and does her baby talks, very affectionate, i know she wouldnt be a probelm at all!! but, i feel awful asking someone to watch her for over 3 hours..i have no clue why.. 

Go to Dorney!
I would kill to go to Dorney again, especially for the Haunt!
You need sometime to yourself just as much as anyone else does. Don't ever feel bad asking for someone to watch the baby.
Just wait until she's mobile...you'll really want someone to watch her then. Get comfortable asking for it now, and it will be easier when you absolutely need it.

i really want to go.never been there before. sounds fun  
everyone loves her and always is willing to watch her for a few hours.
we already have someone who said she'll watch her the night we go to dorney, but i feel awful. lol.

this is the third time we'll be going out. but, i think the more i ask once every two-four months or so, i'll feel more comfortable. this is my first baby, and i just feel like im not being responsible when i want to have fun. i hope that feeling goes away soon.

I don't think you should feel bad at all about asking! Every parent needs a break, and 3 hours is really not that long of time

well, it could maybe be 4 hours, depending how long the lines are. blahh.

i dont think i should feel this way either. lol i hate it. i think it will pass over as the days go by. hopefuly (:

i know exactly how you feel the only person who has watched my lo is his own father and thats about it but hes also only 5 weeks old and yesterday was the first time i let him take him just so i could get a little bit of sleep and clean the house cause hes colic and wants to be held constantly but every mom needs to get out and have some fun once in a while enjoy the time out and have fun she will be fine with a family member for a few hours
