Steel magnolia remake

Anyone gonna watch? its on tonight at 9. I know it cant replace the original but the casting looks good. Im dvring long island medium to watch this movie, hopefully its good

Nope - I dont understand the remake. The casting looks off too. Like the character of Shelby's mom isnt even old enough to be her mom.

Also, I don't understand when they use the same lines as the original movie just different people. :/

I work tonight, and I'm sure they won't let me put it on tvs there, lol but I'm not sure   I loved the original... no1 beats dolly, and shirley and I love Drum lol

It pretty much looks just like a TV show from the movie Soul Food.

Don't fix what isn't broken, imo. The original was great as it was.

What people fail to realize is the Steel Magnolia movie with Dollie and Julia was a remake of the 1987 play so technically it wasnt an original either. Personally i would like to see an urban take on this movie not to mention the "original" movie casted not one person of color. I will be tuned in

I knew that. My cousin is in the drama department in his college and they did the play last year. However, the movie is already out, no need to make another one of the exact thing but different actors.

I knew that. But it was the original MOVIE. Which is a classic.
