Move your toddler into a 'big kid' bed? DS is 19 months, my mom is wanting to buy him a bed, but I don't see the point yet...any advice?

2 1/2 when she broke her crib. If she hadn't then she might still be in the crib.

My daughter was 13 months, because she could jump out of her crib.

My son was 20 months, because he could jump out of his crib.

I wish I could have contained them longer!

He's not even trying to get out of it, so no point in it, right? My mom seems to think he won't grow right, or something, because he's still in a 'baby bed'. I have no idea lol. She's on my back about it!

At 2 yrs old.

My 1 yr old has a twin size bed already, but I am not ready to put her in it, so she is in her pack n play still. Once I put her in her bed next summer...she will be getting a baby gate to go up in the doorway.

He never slept in a crib, but when he was around 18 months old we got him a twin sized bed and use a bed rail with the bed up against the wall so he doesn't fall off.

My daughter fidn't really use hers thanks to her dad lol. My oldest son was 3 and a half but only moved him because he was potty trained. Y youngest son is a little over 2 and i have no intentions of moving him until he's potty trained. But neither one ever attempted to climb out lol.

If you see no reason to rush it, then just keep him in the crib! I wish my son could have stayed in the crib longer, lol. He's a destroyer, so it was nice being able to contain him.

If there is room in his room you could let her get it and let him take maps in it. My oldest was 18 months when he got his big boy bed. Ds 2 was 2 and dd is 18 no ha and not ready yet. But she does fall asleep on her brothers beds. Lol

#1 was 2.5, we moved and his crib wasn't there yet so he got a toddler bed. #2 was 16 months b/c she could climb out of her crib when the mattress was at the lowest level and I luckily caught her just as she started to fall.

He doesn't have his own room, which is another issue. I have no idea how we'll fit a toddler/twin size bed in our room with us...at least until we move out of the house we're in.

If he's in a crib, the crib's the same size space wise as a toddler bed (since they can use the same mattress)
