you did what you thought was best for your family.

but... "your mom thinks baby will be fine"..?? everything you've said sounds legit.. except that. Unless hse's a doctor.. I woudln't rely on what she thinks instead of the doctors.

how frequent are your contractions?

I ddint go by what my mom said. I was just letting you know how she felt about things. It was that total lack of concern and support though that made it just that much harder to try and stay. I know it's hard for my mom to watch the kids because of her health being so bad but it really did hurt that she wasn't more concerned. Though part of that might have been her trying to calm me because I was so upset and worried. Idk it's hard to tell with her. *sigh.

I am not timing the contractions honestly. They are just kind of random though they haven't really stop fir any real length of time either.

you should time them,. If you have a smart phone.. I know there are apps that you can just hit it when you ahve one.

I know it sucks... I timed contractions for 5 weeks with my twns. It got old... but better safe than sorry. You should know if they are progressively getting closer togehter, or staying consistently irregular

Yeah I think I'll do that. Hopefully they stay irregular and far enough apart that they don't do anything.

You are not a horrible person at all. I understand were you are coming from. I had to make a desision like this once. I had 3 other children went in to the hospital because of bleeding they wanted to admit me it was 10 pm my kids was with me and I had no way of getting anyone at all there to get them and they were to young to be there and be ok with me not being able to get out of bed. And for you that keep saying were is your husband. well mine was deployed over seas at this time. I ended up leaving and a week later I took my kids 5 hrs away to my parents house in roled the one in school and ended up back in hospital for 3 months until my son was born 5 wks early. is this what I wanted no but it happen. This no shame if you dont have people you can trust or count on, for that matter I have people I know that I would trust with my kids for longer then a few hours so. Dont feel bad about what you had to do for your family. Just keep a good eye on your own body and what its doing when anything start go in. good luck

Stay on bed rest and try to get someone to pop in on you and help you with things that you need done around the house

No, I left the hospital a few times now. I got meds to stop contractions. I hate hospitals and don't want them messing with me or baby because of their "policys". So I am on rest and take my meds and pray that he continues to grow well and comes out close to his due date. Which he is showing big and has been great.   Pray. Plus doing a home birth anyways so I did what I could to stop labor and now for me to be comfortable I want to be home. Plus I have three other kids, need to be there for them.

I don't think you irresponsible but you just need to be careful. I went through the same thing with my Ds I was contracting my Dr didn't want to check me so she sent me home. At like 2 am my water broke and I was 35 wks I had her and she was perfect 5lbs 2 oz and I took her home with me. When it's time it's just time and I know it's not easy with other children in the home cause I had 2 lo to take care of but you need to be off you feet resting as much as possible. I wish you and your family the best, and pray to God your baby is ok. Not all preemies go to the nicu

Agree, mine was in for 12 hours at 33 1/2 weeks. It was horrible to me because I wanted to hold him, but it could of been worse.
