re: 4 month old in a hot tub?

posted 7th Oct
I was over 7-8 when my mom let me get in ours, and before that we used to get in and have the heat on low so it was like bath water...

*we really wanted a pool only had a spa* lol

If the water is low temp, which it might be because it's a personal tub... Then I would. Same concept of a bath.

I dont know if it's safe or not, but I am going to say probably not. Hot tubs are too hot for babies. Their water to bathe in is only luke warm.,

The way my dr described it is a baby can't regulate their temp that well so they could like cook from the inside out.

I wouldn't let a kid under teh age of 9-10 into a hot tub. And even then, it would have to be set on the lowest setting

The Y has an indoor hot tub but nobody under the age of 16 is allowed in. Not even just sticking thier feet in

I was about to post that most public hot tubs usually have the rule that you have to be 16+ to use it.

yeah their hot tub is set for like 101 or so. My 7 year old goes in all the time and so does my 4 and 5 year old nephew and neice. I know I brought Nyomi (my 7 year old) in before the age of one I just wasn't sure what age. I think they have the ones at the YMCA set at like 108 or something like that.

I was going to say my mom is a labor and delivery nurse and I still plan on asking her but she isn't going to be home for a few hours after I get over there

Remind me never to go to HIS practice...

Putting a FOUR MONTH old in a hob tub is DEADLY.
BECAUSE they cannot regulate their temp, their heart rate will increase, and it can cause DEATH.

O.o

and I dont even have a high school diploma.
Apparently it DOESNT take a doctor to know how STUPID that is.
