Tramp stamp got its name around the 70s to describe someone who partook in risky behavior. It's believe they got the name because the native Americans use to place tattoos there on their wives to 'mark' them. It was placed on the lower back to ensure it would be seen during sexual acts.

Oh shoot, I got one when I was 19. I dont regret it really, and Im not worried what my kids would think of it. I dont think SO really cares much about it one way or another. But some people see it and act all surprised that I have it. I guess I look more conservative than I am.   Lol

And to be honest, I forget I even have it like 80% of the time. I just dont think of it that much.
