Quoting Jas ♥:" How many children have you potty trained? My daughter was easy to PT. Sure, she had accidents but overall, ... [snip!] ... stubbon. My son on the other hand, well that's a different story. Every child is different whether they are "average" or not."

My oldest son was 3.5 when he was potty trained, which is pretty typical of boys. He finally started using the potty when I bought him batman underwear and he thought those were the coolest things and left the diapers behind forever

2. My daughter was an easy train. My son took a little bit more time but still wasnt that hard.

YOUR kids were easy to train, key word being YOUR. Not all of them are nearly that easy...

You know, I'm figuring Isaiah will be the same way. He's interested in the potty and he even knows when he has to go. Sometimes he will go to the potty, other times he will just sit there and pee on the floor and laugh about it. I think I'm going to try to get him some underwear with his favorite character.

So you've PT two kids but are willing to say that everyone else's children (the "average" ones) aren't difficult?

That's good! My little guy is only 13 months, so we have a while to go with him. He hates being wet or dirty, so he may want to go on the potty sooner than my first.

What does have to do with the rest of the children in the world?

I have friends and family members that would say it isnt that difficult either. On the average my friends and family kids have been PTed by 3. I really havent heard of many that havent been PTed by that age until i got on BG and of course my SOs daughter.

Yes because your children and the children you personally know set the tone for every other child on this planet.

Not necessarily i just thought it was the norm bc its what ive been subjected to. I was taught if a child can walk and talk then they can use the bathroom as well. Apparently other people were taught differently.

Who taught you this? lol This is absolutely not based in any type of early childhood development training.
