Quoting proudlypreggers:" No my opinion isnt based off of special needs kids as ive stated ive worked with 14 year olds that i ... [snip!] ... apply to certain people. I meant the average child that has no issues and is just not trained at 5 bc mommy wont teach him."

Then why didn't you say that in your OP?

That's an incredibly general statement. I hope you never have a kid who's tough to potty train.

Certain things dont have to be stated it was implied especially after ive said for the 100th time what i said doesn apply to SN children.

10% of all children have some type of special needs. Most people don't realize that though. I didn't realize it either when I had my first child, who was totally typical and thought all other kids were too. I judged. A lot. I didn't even realize I was doing it. That kid screaming in the grocery store? Might have had autism and was having a sensory melt down. You never know what another kid's situation is.

I hope i dont either but with an average child imo it is not that difficult. You start with the day then do the night. Put the potty in the bathroom, have them go when you go, encourage them, praise them, reward them, and at night I would stop my childrens intake an hour and a half to two hours before bed and made them go before bed. It takes time and extreme patience bc accidents are bound to happen but to me its not difficult.

Keyword here is YOU. It may not be difficult for you but some people who work, go to school, have special needs...it may be more difficult.

Then you had children easy to train. My brother was a nightmare to train. My cousin needed help in the bathroom until he was 6. Not all kids are the same. Good for you that yours were, but judging others because theirs may not be is stupid.

"For an average child it's not that difficult imo"... smfh... judgmental as smurf.

Anyway, to answer the question...I potty train when they are ready and showing signs. No pressure and I don't force it.

No no. If you want your opinion to fully come across, you need to state it IN the OP instead of making general statements. You have no idea how to D&D.

And how many times have *I* said that regardless of SN children, some kids are simply not ready? Does your opinion only apply to those of lazy parents? Because right now, it seems like you're only excluding SN children which isn't exactly fair.

Yeah, apparently, they don't know if it's his or not. He signed papers and everything but someone else says they're the baby's father and her SO for some reason can't contest it or get a DNA test.

How many children have you potty trained?

My daughter was easy to PT. Sure, she had accidents but overall, she wasn't stubborn. My son on the other hand, well that's a different story. Every child is different whether they are "average" or not.

No problem. I went back and read it, since I thought the quotation marks around daughter were strange too. Definitely weird.
