Im not mad or heated at all let me clarify that. You said i fail to think of SN children when ive said a few times what i was saying did not pertain to SN children

And I also said that some kids are just simply not ready, regardless of being SN or not. Yet you still feel the need to think their parents are waiting too long when they are doing the exact thing you did with your child.

How is that so hard for you to grasp? I'm asking you why you can wait until your child is ready but when another parent does it, if their child is older, they waited too long? You keep running in circles.

Quoting Jas ♥:" Probably because they have the same smurfed up opinion you do."

Just bc you dont agree with my opinion doesnt make it smurfed up but aye thats your opinion

her child wasn't ready though. i think she may be feeling guilt over that and justifying it as the right thing to do by judging moms who PT'd "too late"

No guilt i dont regret my decisions on what i did with my children. I was asking the average time age for a child to be potty trained and apparently with the votes its more people that have PTed around the time that i have. I havent had any issues with me PTing early some moms might. Thats why the question was asked. I never stated that my child was not ready. Now whos jumping to conclusions and judging?

bc in some cases if the child isnt SN its a sign of laziness. My children may or may not have been fully ready but i was ready so i began and it was successful. Not saying force the child but introduce them to it at the very least and some moms do not at all. They just say "Oh he/she will tell me when she/he is ready." When the child may already be ready and doesnt know how to communicate it.

she said that she forced the issue because her kids were close together in age and diapers became expensive.

Maybe you shouldn't make such general statements. Being a lazy parent is one thing. Having a child that is simply not ready, regardless of being SN or not, is not the same as being lazy.

By the way you were in this thread, I'm sure that if a parent tells you that their 5 year old isn't potty trained, you probably judge right off the bat and assume she's lazy. It wasn't until people pointed out special circumstances that you started to change your opinion so you wouldn't sound so judgmental.

I also stated i had no problems or issues with them training so why would i feel guilty?

No my opinion isnt based off of special needs kids as ive stated ive worked with 14 year olds that i had to change their diapers. Certain things dont apply to certain people. I meant the average child that has no issues and is just not trained at 5 bc mommy wont teach him.
