special needs encompasses so much more than being completely incapacitated. You are perpetrating a stereotype that you will be able to pick out a special needs person by the way they look. this is not the case a lot of the time.

i said my heart hurts for them, which it does. my children entrust me to care for them, because they are not able to care for themselves. they trust me to be their voice because I am their advocate. They should not fear that they will be physically assaulted by the only person in the world whose job it is to care and nurture them.

There's something seriously wrong with someone who would violate a child's trust that way.

That may not be a popular opinion, but it's usually those who aren't looking at it from a child's perspective that think hitting a person less than half their size is ok.

Its called discipline. I got it and im sure you did or maybe you didnt which i wouldnt be surprised. My children are quite alright intelligent, well mannered and not scarred. You have your parenting ways and i have mines. Dont feel sorry for mines i protect them and just bc i spank and you choose not to those not make me any less of a mother. discipline in the form of physical punishment is more prevalent among those with lower incomes and lower levels of education.

Its the way i choose to discipline my children you dont have to agree with it just as i dont agree with your 4 year old still being in diapers. Thats your opinion and this is mine... I also feel that sometimes instead of helping a child with a disability SOME parents hinder their children by making excuses for them. Again my opinion. See how it doesnt matter to you?
