sex after miscarrying?

I started bleeding a week ago and found out my hgc levels were dropping dramaticaly...now my bleeding has stoped and im wondering when its safe to have sex again?

I'm fairly sure you have to wait a good couple of weeks to give your body time to heal.

We had a loss at 5-6 weeks. we were not told we couldn't have sex, we were also told we could try again as soon as we wanted. so I'm guessing whenever your feeling up to it.

If you weren't very far along and you had a complete miscarriage then it's safe to resume normal sexual activities. Be sure to use protection though because it's pretty common/easy to get pregnant again very soon after.

*ETA: But feel free to try for another BFP as soon as you're mentally and psychically ready or as soon as a doctor clears you to.

This is going on based what I know about miscarriages from my OB.

Thanks for the feedback ladies.I was supossed to be 7 weeks(or thats what we thought i was)but measured just over 5 weeks in an ultrasound. I didnt have any pain with the bleeding so we had hope the pregnancy would be ok but yesterday lab results confirmed otherwise  ...It is heartbreaking but after my daughter was born at 23 weeks and passed away shortly after i think i can jump over this hurdle much easier!

We had a m/c in July and my OB said that once I stopped bleeding and felt up to it, we could resume normal activity. We got our BFP in Sept and I'm 8w today

Our loss was in Dec 2010. We had sex after I stopped bleeding. I cried because I guess I wasn't emotionally ready for that yet. We didn't start TTC until after two normal menstrual cycles, so two months later, to give my body time to heal. My son was born November 2011.

My OB told me to wait a week after the bleeding stopped.
