Quoting Mom of 2 Monkeys:" Cam is about the same size and in diapers and same age... and he's in a 4T with the adjustable waist.. you could always get a 5T with the adjustable waist and then roll the bottoms?"

i forgot about the adjustable waist. i am assuming that's only in the T sizes and not in the regular 4 or 5s.

No it's in bigger sizes too. My almost 7 year old would be lost without it.

Quoting Epic Big Head:" that might be a problem. she still doesn't really understand instructions. maybe i'll just chance it with the 5t and hope they have a really forgiving return policy  "
all she has to do is stand there, maybe give her an awesome treat she loves, or a new toy to hold

omg, I can't imagine getting Gavin to stand there for altering! no way.

he is 4.5 and in diapers. He is short, about 42 lbs. He wears old navy 4t and they fit perfectly. 5T was about 2 inches too long.

you could do the 5t, try them on her and roll up the legs to where you'd need them altered and bring them in that way. if they are adjustable waist, you'd just need to synch the waist.

i think they go up to like 8's or something... i know 4's and 6's have them for sure since both my kids got my long legs and skinny waist lol

umm, I am not sure. I don't think I have anything I can compare - Mia wears 3T. She is tall.
You could buy 4t and then exchange if too short? Old Navy let me do that, same day, too.

can you get adjustable waistbands? I have seen someone get fitted for altering and it really takes like a minute to measure them.

honestly, i have panic attacks when katie starts to melt down and it is always unpredictable. she still bangs her head quite a bit during the meltdowns and I tend to choose my battles wisely and this isn't one I'm going to pick.

I can totally understand that. Will she let you mess with her. Because you can measure and mark where they fit on her waist. I would go in and ask them what to mark and where. Let them show you and just do it yourself and bring it in.

Katie doesn't like to be touched, especially by strangers.
