Although I am so confused on how tandem nursing works when you give birth. Since you have been nursing the whole time, do you still get a fresh amount of colostrum? If you do, shouldn't you make sure the newborn gets all the colostrum first before you let the other child nurse again?

My supply dried up fully, then I got colostrum for the remainder of my pregnancy. Then when the baby was born I had colostrum again. And it turned to milk after 24 hours, then in 36-48 it was full milk. She wasnt with us the whole time in the hospital, so she only got like 2 colostrum nursing sessions.

Oh ok! I always wanted to know that. Around when did your supply dry up during the pregnancy?

congrats on the new addition! may i ask...which went better for you the vaginal or c section? im debating VBAC
