I think he does that because he knows you'll give him juice. I think you should be giving him milk or water instead at night time.

eta: I don't know how you feel about CIO but I'm pretty sure 2 years old is an alright age to do it.

Idk why hes crying but giving him juice at night can rot his teeth. Juice shouldn't sit on there all night.

Anything other than water at night can cause teeth to rot.

I give each of mine a water bottle for next to their bed since we all get thirsty at night b/c our place is so dry right now.

And 2 is prime age for tantrums. He's learned that if he pitches a fit, he gets what he wants.

Yeah I wouldn't do juice at bedtime either.
My two year old gets like that if she is coped up in the house all day. Get him out. Take him on a good long walk and exhaust him. Make sure he has a nice full tummy before bed and read him a book.
He will HOPEFULLY be a little calmer. But if not let him cry a little. He is going to test you. And then for night time give him water. He is going to throw it and flip out a few times but if you hold strong then eventually he will get the point that what mom says goes.

juice has sugar in it and its not only bad for his teeth, but the sugar might get him more hyped up.
i would give water at night if he is really that thirsty and no more juice before bed time either.
other than that - 2 is where they start throwing horrible fits. my daughter just started. i ignore it unless she goes too far then she will go into time out.

Reilly is the poster baby for 2 year old tantrums
I think I've lost more sleep with her as a toddler than I did when she was an infant.
So, we're finding ways to make her more tolerable
But when she's not being a hateful 2 year old she is the most wonderful little girl in the world

Aww I'm sorry mamma. Being pregnant with a toddler sucks butt through a straw.
But yeah if you can get him on a schedule now it will be much better for you   And easier for when the new baby shows up.
