I've heard so many stories about women who have been induced and they wish that they hadn't been. I personally wouldn't want to be induced, I'd rather go into labor naturally BUT I do understand being frustrated when you're over due. I just hope I don't have to consider it and that this LO comes out willingly lol

Really i think its a persons choice to make if they are overdue and it is discussed with their doctor. I know if i was 41 weeks i would be discussing it with my doctor. Doesnt make it natural or unnatural imo. Either way youre in labor. Doesnt really matter to me natural or unnatural. Ive had 2 children naturally no meds and if given the opinion to go unnatural i would. Thats just me though.

I really didn't see any negative comments, but ok. What they were telling you is that the risks go WAY up with induction than with anything else. And take it from me, avoid a C-Section if at all possible...

It is way more common for an induction to lead to a csection or complications. It is also more common for women getting induced to need pain meds.

My cousin is maybe 5' 1" and might have been 110 before she got pregnant. She had a 9 and a half pound baby. If you feel 8 pounds is big...they get a lot bigger. As far as tearing, my second was 8 lbs 10 oz (2 weeks early) and i had a small tear that needed 2 stitches. My third was 8 lbs 6 oz and i tore from clit to ass. He came in one push and was crowning before i started to push. That being said, i was induced all three times...once 2 weeks past, once 2 weeks early (heart rate spiked at 200 and wouldn't drop so they broke my water) and on my due date. I had GD with the youngest two, so both were medical reasons and with my daughter i had a heart murmur plus she was in position, but i hadn't dilated past 1 but was thinned out, contractions 2-4 minutes apart for 3 weeks, so it was more to help get it going. I personally thought it wasn't that bad the first and third times, but the second time i pushed for a lot longer since he hadn't dropped and was early.

I was induced with my son at 39 weeks.
Everything went just fine. I was in labor for 17 hours.
My son was perfectly healthy. (:
I'm due in 26 days again with a little boy.
We haven't talked about inducing with this one yet.
No need really, but we will see.
I hope I go on my own. I want my water to break
or start having really bad contractions and have to go in
on my own. Lol.

You need to get thicker skin
You asked why people are against it, they answered. And it IS unnatural. Anything forced with synthetic hormones is unnatural.
