why aren't many people keen on giving babies up for adoption

Why does everyone seem to choose abortion over adoption

Because there are hundreds of kids in the system already and do you realize how hard it is to carry a baby to full term and then be like SEE YA!

Maybe they don't want to go through pregnancy?

Cause they're afraid to bond and get attached. It's easier to part with a fetus more than it is to feel them and all that for 9 mos then give them up. Idk. It is sad IMO. I wish it was easier for people to opt for adoption.

Because there are already LOTS of kids without homes already. Why would I add one? Also, if I don't believe that a fetus is a baby yet, I'd rather a child not exist then send them out into a world where I can't protect them or be a part of their life.

There are alrady enough children in the world that need families. Why add more?

for me personally i wouldnt be able to give my baby up to a total stranger specially after caring that baby for so long id fall in love with him/her but i have said if it did come down to that choice i would give my baby to my sister she wants to have another baby but cant so she would be the only one id ever give my baby to

You wish it was easier? So we had even more kids stuck in a foster care system that is already overburdened? More kids without homes, without good role models or stable lives?

They don't want to get attached and smurf.Its very hard.

I couldn't choose adoption because I couldn't carry a child and give birth without falling head over heels in love and then just give them away. Although I do fully support and respect when people decide adoption

Some people may not be strong enough to carry a child for almost a year and then give it up. Some may be scared they will want to keep the child once they see it. They may feel that the emotional and even physical challenge with adoption is much harder than it would be with abortion.

Far too many children that need to be adopted already.
Why don't people adopt 12 year old kids and only babies?
My mother was adopted, and had the smurffiest life ever.
No thanks, I'm not going to risk bringing another life into the world and them being abused, etc. I would feel responsible.

I know I wouldn't be strong enough for it.

People want babies. Foster care is different. Not many people want a chil thrs 4 and hits bites tries to kill you ruins your stuff has been sexually molested etc. it's more work and you don't even know what will happen to the child. They might go back home they might not. Some people jut want a baby. They don't want a foster child.

Um because adoption is smurfing hard and staying pregnant isn't an option for everybody?
