After telling everyone the name you have chosen, is it okay

I have already posted online, and told my friends and family the name me and my fiance chose for our soon to be born son. lately ive been having second thoughts. my parents and fiance love the name we have picked but im worried it isnt the right name. I would love to keep peace and leave the name that everyone likes so much, but shouldnt it be my choice? i dont want to start a fued but i dont want to regret my desicion. please give me advice!

Name your child what you want. You can change it if u want.

And you can change it anytime you want. Even after he is born

Your kid, name him/her however you want. Be warned that if people don't like the name you chose, you'll probably hear about it lol. But really don't let that affect your decision unless you want it to.

I told everyone my daughter was going to be Zoey but then me and SO decided to change it to Lilly, not everyone was happy about it but its my kid.

lol I did that about a million times. Dont worry about everyone else. I literally changed the name at the last minute right before I filled the papers out in the hospital lmao

We originally decided Zora's name was going to be Ava, and started telling people. Then we changed our mind to Zora, and not a whole lot of people liked the name, but it suits her so well now.

We changed my 3rd childs name probably 4 or 5 times before she was born!

I let my dad name my first son, and my ex name my second son.

Name them what you like. As long as it isn't Fa'rti-as Makwef or some ridiculous garbage like that lol.

Name your son whatever you want. If you change your mind, so be it. It's an important thing and they will have that name forever and you want it to be perfect.  

We didn't tell anyone the names for fear of that and we just didn't want to hear anyone's input about it.

i really do like the name i have already told everyone, but now its not my top pick! My SO still wants to keep it the same and so do my parents. Im the only one wanting to change it. But you are all right... this is my child not my parents. I just wish my SO would agree with the name change.
