I'm late into this, but my youngest BIL was born via emergency c-sec at 34 weeks due to severe pre-eclampsia. They did the steroid shot but luckily he had absolutely no health issues. He was in special care for 10 days, but his mum was in transitional care for the same amount of time because she nearly died. He was just really small, and now he's a normal crazy 9 year old!
She had a feeding tube but she was able to establish Breastfeeding, she had to be strict with the nurses though.
