They are scaring the smurf out of me like lo will die if he comes now. I don't want him to but I can't do anymore than I have to stop him. Thanks you made me feel better.

I've been in the hospital for two days on every med possible and still contracting. I finally left ama because of lack of support and I have no one to watch my other two kids for this long.

Accidents can happen when women go full term! With the medical stuff they have now, 35 weeks is pretty damn good. Have you had the steroids? I have pics on my page of them when they were first born, maybe an hour or two old. They look pretty healthy in them. 1 was 5 lbs 2.1 oz and the other was 4 lbs 15.4 oz. Try not to be scared.

Your LO will be. You're almost 35 weeks. I've known a few people to have their children at 35 weeks and they all got to take them home with no NICU stay. My son was 4lb 14 oz at 34.4. and now he's in the 90th percentile and doesn't have any real issues with his health.

I know what you mean. I was full term and in the nicu for a week because of an idiot nurse. My sister was born at 36 week's and was perfectly healthy. It's a gamble I know but I just have to stay positive.

Oh, and another health thing... The boys have yet to have any sickness, cold, anything.

He'll be 2 on the 25th of this month. He is right on track mentally, maybe even ahead. He knows a million words and never stops talking lol He can count to 3, knows what a circle is and can draw one, knows all facial features by name and can say most of them. and oh gosh lots of other things. lol

How old was he when he started walking. Mine are 15 months, and still can't stand unassisted. At their 1 year check up, the pedi was a little worried, but not enough that he said it was time to worry.. He said if they haven't started talking more by their next appt & standing that it'd be time to worry. That appt is this Thursday, and they still aren't standing or talking any more than they were.

No NICU stay, although he should have. We both slipped through the cracks  

He was born at 6.2 but that was water weight like me. He went down to 4lbs. We were released at 5 days. He developed a bad pneumonia at 13 days old, he also had to be switched to soy forumla. Hes 4 years old and still has longs of problems stemming from him being a preemie. My nieces were micro preemies born at 27 weeks and have not had near the problems my son has. He has 4 Drs and 3 therapist. He has 5 surgeries under his belt, 6 hospital stays and more ER/hospital visits then I can count and has been abulenced 3 times. Its been a hard run for him but hes a fighter!

My oldest had trouble walking. Turns out it was because of her foot being turned in from being smoothed in the womb. She eventually got it and her foot straightened out on its own it just took more time.

He was about 16 months when he started walking. He did the physical things more according to his "due date". So he was usually about a month behind on that stuff. but he got there, and never needed therapy or anything.


Do they pull themselves up on couches or stand up holding onto something?

That is so sad. I'm sorry. I'm pretty sure my lo is a good 6 to 7 lbs now. His brother was almost 10 lbs at 38 weeks.

I have noticed on both of them that one of their feet turn out sideways when they walk with me. They can walk if they're holding our hands, but not alone & they can't stand unassisted.
