I don't allow my SO to.....

I see and hear it all the time...I don't allow my SO to watch porn, go out to strip clubs, play video games, etc. I know you can choose to make that a limit for you to be with them or not but does someone have the right to "allow or not allow" another competent adult to do something?

I do not allow him to pee on me in the shower. That's my right.  

I dont like the term "allow". Sounds controlling.

I expect my husband to not do anything he wouldnt want me to do. I think most girls feel this way.

I don't think anyone really does but if they have mutual respect they wouldn't do it. I personally wouldn't tell my partner they couldn't do those things because I don't see how it's considered cheating or disrespectful. I rather him do it while me knowing then behind my back.

My DH always threatens to do this!!!

My SO and I have mutual understanding and agreements with eachother. It's not a controlling thing or a "you're not allowed to.." though. For example, neither of us feels comfortable with the other hanging out alone with the opposite sex, so we both choose to not do that. We're both adults, and can do what we want, but we choose to set boundaries to keep our relationship healthy.

Exactly how I feel.. I don't necessarily WANT him looking at porn or going to strip clubs but I'm not controlling about it because I have trust in him.. I give no smurfs if he plays video games.. Cause I will play them with him lol
