funeral

Connor Daniel became an angel on 10/05/12 we are now in the process of planning his funeral. im an very confused on weather to have his older siblings age 5 and 6 come to the funeral. i explained to them what had happened and that we are having a funeral for him. i told them what would happen at the funeral and that they wouldnt be able to see him but they could pick out a little stuffed animal for a toy to put in his casket.they seemed ok with that but i just want to do what is right for them and im not sure what that is

Im so sorry sweetie   My dd has been to 2 funerals and isn't even 5 yet. I think it's important. Especially when they understand more.

So sorry.   I would include them as much as you can, or as much as they're willing to be involved.

thanks guys! we have decided to have them go. we went today and let them pick something to put in the casket and were going to take a picture of all of us to put in there too

First, I am so very sorry for your loss. I do have an idea as a gift for the siblings this Christmas that keeps their Connor with them. I have bought many as grieving gifts and I think even though they are young it is a great way to help keep Connor's memory alive. There is a company that specializes in photo engraved jewelry - I've bought several of their hearts. You can have a digital image laser engraved onto the keepsake and it can go with the kids wherever they go - on their backpack, they can wear it, hang it from the window in their bedroom so that Connor can watch over them.
