To wake her up or not?

posted 6th Oct
DD is 16 months. She had been an AMAZING sleeper until about 3-4 weeks ago. I actually got her to bed at 1am instead of 4 am (her old sleep schedule was 8:30) and I didn't give her a nap. She crashed out in the car at 5pm and is STILL asleep.... do you think I should let her continue to sleep in hopes she wakes up early tomorrow morning, or do you think I should wake her up now and see if she goes to sleep at a decent time? It's already almost 8pm here.

Hmm that's a toughy cause if you wake her up she probably wont go to sleep till like 2am but then if you don't wake her up she'll probably wake up at like 3 or 4am.

I'd wake her, but only because I like to sleep in.. I would hate to wake up at 3 or 4 am

Yeah... if I get her up, she'll either go to bed around 10, or not until 4 lol

I LIKE sleep, but I HATE that i can't get smurf done when I do sleep past 9. However, when I return to work in a few months, I won't get off work until 12 or 1 AM. So I don't know if I should try to get her up early or not.... either way, she's been going to bed between 2-5 am and getting up at 1-3 pm... And I just don't feel that is healthy.

My super model friend Jenine told
Me to never wake a sleeping baby!!! She's growing! I have a large kid that slept for like 24 hours. I'm not joking.

That's what I am thinking... I think it would be MUCH easier to keep her UP until a decent bedtime rather than trying to force her to SLEEP at a decent bedtime like I have the last 4 weeks... it's KILLING me! I can handle another sleepless day.... but I can't handle another month of screaming hours at bedtime...and losing. lol

Oh that's tough! Try getting her on a schedule. It may take a couple nights but start a bedtime routine so she will sleep a regular schedule. My 21 month old sleeps 830pm-9am and takes 1 nap around 130 till about 3.. But I had to get him on a schedule

AH HA HA HA HA HA!!! Every time someone says "get them on a schedule" it's like a punch in the face. She was ON a schedule until this last month. She was AMAZING at it... 100% perfect.... I've been trying for almost a MONTH and NOTHING has worked... lol

Yknow, sometimes you just gotta ride it out.

My daughter sleeps like smurf by times and nothing I do seems to help! It can be very frustrating.
