Pimples

posted 6th Oct
So before I had my little one, My skin wasn't bad at all... I'd get a pimple every once and awhile... But Now... After I had him... my skin has been shot to hell... I've broken out so bad!!!! Im so self conscience about it   It seems like when one goes away... three more pop up. Im going nuts. I saw my Dr a week ago and she just kept starring at them... I kinda figured she would say something? Maybe recommend how to clear them up because everything I've been doing... is NOT helping what so ever.
I know its my hormones, but Damn... It's NEVER been this bad.
Has anyone broken out really bad after having their baby?

Im to the point where I just want to put a paper bag over my head so no one can look at me

How old is your LO? The same thing is happening to me... it sucks. I never got pimples before I had DD now I always have at least one (usually at least 3 or 4).

DD is now 4 months old and I have hormone free BC and it hasn't cleared up at all

This is my first baby, so I can't help you out with after baby pimple problems, but I had/have acne and the thing that helped the best and actually cleared it up was BC. Ortho tri-cyclen to be exact. There are a few that are marketed just for acne. Other than that face wash or creams with salicylic acid in it as the active ingredient help.

He's only a month old.
And its in the most annoying place... On my jaw line and chin!!!!
I haven't been put on BC yet, my Dr wanted me to wait till my next appointment. Im SO depressed about this. I feel like that is the only thing people stare at!!!

Mmm well Im breastfeeding so would that BC be safe?
Im thinking about buying all the face wash i can find, but I don't want to waste money on something that isn't going to work.

Yeah. This really sucks. And to make matters worse... I started my period for the first time after having him. So I know thats contributing to these nasty little things.

Hmmmm I'm not sure, I think they recommend non hormonal BC while your BF. I recently got a face wash called "sebamed" it's been workin pretty well. An smells awesome. Definitely change up your face wash if you haven't in a while. Also clearasil brand worked pretty well for me, but my skin hates me and builds up this type of immunity if I use the same kind of face wash for too long. Just make sure the face wash you use is specifically for acne. I would assume it would clear up quickly if you've never had a problem with it before.

Cool. I'll give those a try. I've tried that Proactive... and that only made it worse...

Yeah I tried proactiv before I got on BC when I was younger. Total rip off. Lol the stuff you can get at the drug store works better, and doesn't cost $40 a month.
