Okay...so my boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year, been close friends for over 2, and have been living together for 10 months. We're expecting our little boy in December  
But I swear, since people found out I'm pregnant...all they talk about is him and I getting married. Seriously people? One more thing to add to our plates? I mean yeah, we plan on staying together, and maybe getting married eventually...but not yet! It'd screw us over more than it'd help.

Up until a couple of weeks ago, he would join me in my rants....and now he brings it up out of the blue all the time. He'll bring up marriage in front of my mom and brother. And I'm not saying I'll never marry him...he's my best friend and I love him completely. I just really don't want to be one of those people who get pressured into marriage, gets married just because we have a child together, or because we know people who are getting married.

Bleh...time to feed the gnawing hole that I once used to call a stomach. lol

Congrats on your LO! Don't worry, I'm in the same boat lol. I've been with my SO for a year and a half, and we just had our first child a month ago. All ppl keep saying is so when you getting married? He didn't want to at first, and I was ok with waiting but the more ppl bring it up, the more I feel bad. Now he's coming around and said the other day he wants to get engaged soon. He said he knew it was right because I don't nag him. I said well, I'd rather you ask me be because you want to not because I nagged you to do it. Don't worry about other people, married or not all that matters is that you guys are happy.

And it's not that I'm against marriage...I just have so much crap going on atm, that it's really not a big deal...or even practical to think about. lol He's 20,000$ in debt from something stupid he did 3 years ago and I'm going to college. It would just make things worse for us

haha Thankfully that hasn't happened yet...my mom has gone ring shopping and dress shopping recently online though...that was...weird... lol

  thanks! I know what you mean. We're saving up for a house so a wedding needs to wait until after that probably. Lol but I wouldn't mind being engaged for a year or two first. Idk, I think he'll ask me eventually. Lol hopefully it won't be like 5 years or something though.

haha Yeah...I can understand that. Eventually in the not so distant future would be nice...just not in the intimidate future like everyone else seems to want.

i wouldn't worry about getting married yet.. ive been with my partner since i was 16 so going on almost 6 years. people say to us all the time about getting married, id much rather use the money to save to go towards buying a house or something we need.... plus i dont want his surname!!! does not go with my name lol xx
