come and take this boy!!!!

every night i but my son to bed at 7:30pm but it seems to nite he is refusing to sleep. Harvey's, yelling and screaming at me from the top if the stairs, i'am at my wits end. i've tried talking nicely to my kid i don't want to slap him but i'm really cross now he has woke up the baby my fiancee not here to deal with it OMG!!!! my child being naughty i'm tryna put him back into his bed but his crying saying mommy plz, read me a story i say no u already had one wen i, put u to bed earlier so I'm kissing him Gd nite and leave the night light on and shut the door half way.do u think im acting like a coward?  

No just send him back to his room and walk away. Its better to just let him cry and throw a fit then yell or hit him. My kids stand at the top of the stairs and yell down at me at bed time too. I can be really hard, my husband works 2nd shift so I have to do it all the time.
