How do I let them know that I am into them?

posted 6th Oct
Without being direct and risking rejection and/or ruining a friendship?
I've been trying to drop hints to a friend that I am into them for about six months now, but they either aren't interested or they are being really dense - I keep getting mixed signals.

They flirt with me and they invited me to be their date to a family wedding back in July, but then I keep trying to make a move and they don't move with me. Or they don't pick up on it.

I don't want to just be super obvious and outright with it because I work with them and it would be awkward if they got creeped out by me, but I want to cuddle them and tell them I like them and just be generally disgusting and adorable with them.

I am too socially awkward to start dating again, I swear.

I prefer rejection over anticipation, but that's me.

Tony is my best friend and I was scared SmurfLESS to tell him I liked him. But it got to the point I thought "I have to tell him or we cant be friends... it's killing me to not tell him my feelings." So one day we hung out and I said "I have to tell you something... I absolutely am in love with you. I would love for us to be together and be more than friends, you have no idea how much you mean to me. Can we try being together?" And he smiles and hugs me and says "Let me think about it." ALL SmUrfING NIGHT he makes me wait. I seriously was flipping out and I finally said "Dude, what the hell... should I assume this is a no?" and he said "Of course it's a yes. Did you think I'd say anything different? It's always been you." And we have been together ever since. lol.

SO JUST GO FOR IT!
