re: tampon has disappeared, I repeat disappeared

I had a tampon in, got drunk, had sex, and forgot I had it in. The next day I was like "Oh smurf how am I going to get this thing out". The guy was *cough* well endowed, and it was WAY up there. PLUS I have a tilted uterus. Well "had" because I have now had a hysterectomy. I actually had to lay on the floor with my legs up on the wall and reach as far back as I could. It literally took me an hour to get it out.

Don't assume it just came out. My mother-in-law got TS and almost died, twice. It is no joke. Go to the doctor ASAP to have them check and put your IUD back in. Not only can it cause TSS, but it can grow different bacterias and cause horrible smells, and infections that can lead to infertility.

i was soo embarrassed when it happned. had taken my tampon out and was in the bathtub taking a bath and another one came out.. it was smurfing nasty looking. i remember wanting to vomit. oh ugh.

NOPE! I have a tilted uterus like the other chick does, so I have no idea if I'm going to find it...


I don't wanna assume it's out, but at the same time... I never did find it, and my IUD came out so you'd think I would have found that first right?

Dear God...after reading this thread I'm definitely only using cloth pads from now on...agh this makes my tummy hurt

Time to head to the gyno or the ER. Yes, a missing tampon IS an emergency. TSS is nothing to joke around with
