bad diaper rash

my 1yr old has had a bad rash for a week now... i have tried desitin, calmoseptine, and butt-aid. nothing is working. what other things can i try?

try triple paste

Calmo is the worst cream ever invented, imho. Use corn starch, it's like a miracle. When rashes get bad, they need to be dried up with powder, not slathered with creams.

If it's that bad, it might be yeast, and regular diaper rash treatments won't work. Greek yogurt works on yeast, if not, it would need a prescription for a yeast cream

dose have white spots? could be a yeast rash.
baking soda and water paste is great, takes the red and the sting out. Corn starch is another good thing. coconut oil I hear works wonderful.

diaper cream should get rid of it in 2-3 days. if it doesn't its probably yeast.

You will want to call your peds office and let them know. I used chamomile tea. i brewed it and let it cool then gave her a bath in it mixing it in her tub with water. make sure you dont use it hot- could scald her. I also heard washing her in baking soda will kill a yeast infection. Check with your peds office first before you do this--- haven't tried it.

I have yet to try that one, lol. But a friend of mine did, her mom swears by it, and sure enough it worked! Her daughter is allergic to somethin in the butt cream so she tried a decent amount of home remedies
