Giving up on HW

So I was trying to do my HW but every time I start a quiz DS dashes out the dog door... Giving up on HW for tonight... Idk How I can keep him from going out the dog door without cutting off access to my dog. :/

Ummmmm...baby jail with some toys? lol by that I mean his pack-n-play, if you have one. That's how my mom did it with me and my brother...

We don't have a pack and play. :/ I hate having to lock him in his room to get anything done without him trying to run away.

Maybe moving something to block off the area where the doggy door is? Like a stool or something, so that the dog can still use it...but Little One can't get to it?

haha We have to do that with my niece...her brother can go outside, so we leave the door open...but she's too little, so we put a stool in front of the door
