tmi normal when mirena removed?

I got my mirena removed on the 2nd. I started a new bc pill that day and I was due for my period the 2nd also. I started my period the 4th. It has been the heaviest period ever! Like unnaturally heavy. I havent had to use super plus tampons in two yrs and i dont think its gonna end on sunday like i should. I have huge blood clots falling out of and im not used to that. Is this all normal from getting mirena removed or should i call dr on monday? sry for tmi im just kinda concerned if this happened to anyone after getting a mirena removed.

I've never had it, but am considering it after baby, and i think it sounds normal since Mirena is suppose to drastically reduce your period bleeding. It sounds like your body re adjusting to no more hormones.

Yes, when my period eventually came in it was way heavy, and stayed heavy for the next couple cycles. I did not like mirena, I gained a ton of weight and spotted almost the entire time

OMG I want to take mine out.
I have gained over 60 lbs and I awear its from it. I havent changed my diet or exercise at all, and I'm just gaining.
I've had it for just over three years now.

Yea ive gained 15 lbs i cant seem to lose so hopefully it comes off now. Ok well i guess its normal then but i didnt think id get a period since i started taking the pill. Hopefully this flow stops soon

Yep, I gained 20. Lbs in a year! I took mine out, lost a couple lbs and then had foot surgery, and now I am pregnant. So there goes my weight loss, my friend lost 11 lbs after she took hers our  . Another friend took hers out and lost 40, but she had to work her ass off, I mean running and insanity 6 days a week

Mirena affects everyone differntly so im not gonna say dont get it, but seriously research it for the good and the BAD side effects. I had stabbing pains that would knock the breath out of me, weight gain, two periods a month, cramping all month long and bad acne. Its not something you can just stop taking one day, it took me a yr to finally get it removed
